~The Process~ ~See Also "About Everywear; Custom Work/Orders"~ I always encourage my clients to be as involved in the design process as they are able. Locally, I enjoy being able to have them accompany me to the fabric supply store, to ensure they're getting the exact look they desire. Of course, this is not a possibility for long-distance web purchases. However, we have many fabric stores online to view, as well as swatches of my own collection of fabrics. The custom process begins with the client placing a Custom Order Request. The more detail that can be provided in said request, the better... With clothing, for example, it would be necessary to know the size, colour and fabric information. For bedding, I would need to know the size of the mattress, be it single, queen, standard, pillow-top, etc. In every instance, I will respond to the inquiry, and we will begin the free Consultation Process. This could be a series of meetings or correspondences, in which we will discuss the details of the article being requested. At this point, I will begin sketching the item, if applicable. Once all consultations are complete and the idea is settled upon, I will collect a deposit to purchase the materials. I will provide an estimate cost of labour, as well as approximate date of completion. The full balance will be due upon shipping/receiving of the finished article. All custom orders are guaranteed to size and quality, and any repairs/modifications required after the client receives the finished product will be free of charge. |
